“RAISING GODLY CHILDREN IN AN UNGODLY WORLD”

This is hands down the best, most thorough talk I have EVER heard on the topic of family and the Bible. I think I have a new modern day hero folks.
Ken and his colleagues have dedicated their lives to equipping the saints to raise up godly offspring who know what scripture says in science and many other areas as well.
I am so thankful to them and their families for making the sacrifices they did and do to produce these videos, curriculum kits, books, and of course the CREATION MUSEUM!
May the Lord pour out His spiritual Blessings on them!

I love listening to sermons and such, but honestly this 60 minute DVD is packed with everything you would need to combat those pessimistic views towards home schooling and pagan views towards Christianity and Creationism.

It is biblically educational as well as empowering… I am sure that for those that are not already trying to follow Christ in the family would feel convicted, but it is such an encouragement to hear someone preaching a non watered down biblical word… isn’t it?!
If you home school your children you have no doubt heard other Christians try to make you feel like you are not fulfilling the Great Commission by home schooling. They pull out the “SALT of the Earth” parable. I have always known in my head, like everyone does that children are impressionable and aren’t mature enough to stand strong when they are surrounded by pagan beliefs and culture. I have often rebutted that arguement by saying things like…” Jesus sent out HIs disciples 2 by2 and they were adults who walked with HIm and learned from him for about three years… and they still fell to sin and claimed to not know him under pressure… how much more will a child fall to sin and temptation?”
Now, though, after watching this video, I have scripture and more points to the “arguement.” I don’t intend on “sharing” them unless I am “attacked” … if you know what I mean. It is so hard to stay strong in your convictions when family and the world around is telling you, you are extreme or wrong or that “it is not for everyone.”
I have to share the last part of the “SALT” parable…
Ken went directly to the scripture in
Matthew 5:13
“You are the salt of the earth, but what good is salt if it has lost it’s flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.”

Mark 9:50
“Salt is good for seasoning, but if it looses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves and live in peace with each other.”

Look at the rest of this passage on being the salt of the earth. The Lord clearly warns us to have saltiness in us first… and if we loose it we are worthless for the Kingdom work!
Are children salt of the earth when they are born?
Well if you believe that all babies are born sinful like the Bible teaches then that means they need to be taught and be filled with the “SALT”, which as the Bible clearly states is the primary job of the parents.

Now if I send my semi salty or partially filled salt shakers into a pagan environment… they are no doubtingly going to become flavorless in a matter of time based upon the fact that they are not learning the Word of God at school, in fact they would be learning the opposite and then I would have a few hours at the end of every night, to detox my child and relay the foundations they spent 6-7 hours earlier that day learning.
WOW!

Funny thing the DVD is at least 15 years old, maybe more… but still so relevant and motivating.
